As per New York City guidelines, all health club Members must provide proof of vaccination to remain an active Member of a Health Club. The mandate will move forward in NYC beginning the week of August 16th and be fully enforced starting September 13th.
To be in compliance with these guidelines, all Mercedes Club Members (and staff members) will be asked to show one-time proof of full or partial vaccination (even if you have provided proof in the past) to use the facilities at Mercedes Club starting on August 16th.
Acceptable forms of proof include an NYS Excelsior Pass (https://epass.ny.gov/home) which can be downloaded on mobile devices or a copy/photo of your vaccination card that indicates you are fully or partially vaccinated status. For your convenience, New York City also intends to create a digital pass called the "Key to NYC Pass" for New Yorkers to provide proof of vaccination when required. Members may provide their proof of vaccination prior to August 16th if they wish.
We encourage unvaccinated Members to consult with their doctors and educate themselves on the COVID-19 vaccination process and the COVID-19 vaccine options that are currently available to them.
The comfort and safety of our Members and Employees continue to be our top priority and our expectations around acting responsibly remain the same. Please continue to maintain good hygiene habits, such as washing and sanitizing hands frequently, staying home if you are feeling sick, and wiping down equipment and surfaces before and after use.
We will update you as modifications become necessary and as we continue to monitor the current landscape.
Members must reserve their spot for the indoor pool, outdoor pool, and all barre, boxing and cycle classes.
Reservations can be made 48 hours in advance via the Mercedes Club App, the Mercedes Club website, or by calling the Hospitality Desk Directly at 212-265-1111.
Lockers, restrooms, showers, saunas, and steam rooms are available.
Staffing and cleaning protocols have been enhanced. All surfaces and equipment are thoroughly cleaned with EPA registered disinfectant cleaning agents. You will notice our dedicated Clean Team and Fitness Coaches cleaning continuously throughout the day. Additional deep cleaning is performed nightly when the Club is closed. Numerous wipe and hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout the entire Club for our Members' convenience. We ask that all Members wipe down equipment and surfaces after use.
Our central HVAC system meets the standard requirements, including MERV - 13 filtration filters. All doors on our workout floor will remain open, for additional air circulation, when the weather permits.
