Lisa began her fitness career at The Vertical Club; the first luxury health club in NYC in 1981. She was part of a fitness team that instructed group exercise classes, fitness assessments, and one-on-one workouts. Lisa quickly realized that putting a smile on a Member's face and making a healthy difference in their daily life was her passion.
When the 80's aerobic craze took off, Lisa became a specialty instructor for The Vertical Club where she taught to large groups of enthusiastic Members. Most classes had 100+ participants. While teaching at The Vertical Club, club owners from other countries asked her to instruct master classes in Venezuela, Spain, and Australia. After traveling, Lisa decided to go into management where she could have a larger positive impact on Club Members' and Team Members' lives.
Over the years, Lisa managed Group Exercise programs for The Vertical Club, Equinox Fitness Clubs, The Sports Club/LA - East 61st, The Sports Club-LA - Rockefeller Center, and Reebok Sports Club-NY. She continued to teach a variety of Group Exercise classes to stay connected to the Members' and instructors' Group Exercise experience.
Lisa joined the Mercedes Club, as Assistant General Manager in January 2015. Though Lisa's Assistant General Manager role includes overseeing our Members' daily Club experience as well as overseeing the Hospitality and Clean Team, she also manages the Group Exercise Team and is responsible for creating the Group Exercise schedule.
Lisa enjoys building teams that are comprised of hard-working, kind, dedicated, and talented individuals that have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Lisa manages with a focus on EXCELLENCE, TEAMWORK, and KINDNESS and strives every day to make a positive impact. Lisa still teaches cycling and treadmill classes as her ardor for teaching in a group setting still exists to this day. She looks forward to seeing you at the Club and in class!
