Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Shayne graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Dance Performance. Soon after, she moved to NYC where she danced with several dance companies including Arch Dance Company, Mark Dendy- Lincoln Center Out of Doorsand Extended Dance Theater.
In 1999, Shayne discovered Yoga and its’ supplementary advantages for her dance career. Quickly, she developed a passion to share the benefits of yoga with others. This led Shayne to receive her 500 hr RYT Yoga certification from Yoga Works in NYC.
To enhance her skills and further explore the function and capacity of the body, she obtained a nationally recognized personal training certification through NASM. Now, with over 10 years in the fitness industry, Shayne has added Spin, TRX, pre-natal Yoga, and weight loss specialty to her repertoire. In all her training, she emphasizes the importance of body awareness,core strength, and breathing.
